Crazing - Crazing is a product of the differences in thermal expansion between the base metal and the anodic coating.  The aluminum base expands much more than the coating.  There is no way to completely avoid this defect.  Exposure to temperatures at or above 300 degrees Fahrenheit in excess of 30 minutes can cause the anodize to crack or craze.
